What Cutova is

Cutova is an MCP server for Epicor® Kinetic® ERP. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It gives your AI assistant tools to work with Epicor data.

What you can do

• Ask business questions. Start with Executive Insights for invoiced sales, receivables, and other business data.
• Use your own tools. Publish your BAQs, Epicor Functions, and Business Object operations.
• Extend the setup. Add more tools or combine them with instructions for your own workflows.

A tool is an operation the assistant can call. A skill gives the assistant instructions for using tools. A pack brings tools and a skill together for a particular job. Installing a skill alone does not install its Epicor components or connect the assistant.

Tools can read or change data, depending on the operation your administrator publishes. The Executive Insights pack uses read-only BAQ tools.

How setup works

An administrator connects the Epicor environment, completes registration, and installs a pack or publishes tools. Each person then connects an AI client and signs in with their own Epicor account.

If your organization already has an instance, ask for its MCP URL and follow Connect your AI client. You do not need a console account just to use the tools.

Credentials and data

Your administrator configures an Epicor service account and API key for the connection. Cutova stores these credentials encrypted. The account needs impersonation rights for user tool calls.

Each person signs in through Epicor. Cutova does not receive their Epicor password during this sign-in. User tool calls use their Epicor identity through impersonation, with the permissions applicable to the requested operation. Console administration roles control Cutova setup; they are separate from Epicor permissions.

Tool results pass through Cutova to your chosen AI client and provider. Use an AI account and data settings approved by your organization. Read the security and data handling details and privacy policy.
